Erica P. Conway is a visionary leader, educator, and trailblazer dedicated to the intersection of elite artistry and spiritual wholeness. As the Founder and Director of The Conway Academy in Temple Hills, Maryland, Erica leverages over 30 years of experience to develop the next generation of disciplined, confident, and purpose-driven artists.
A native of Prince George’s County, Erica’s journey began at age three. Her extensive technical foundation spans Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, African, and Hip Hop, cultivated at the most prestigious institutions. A graduate of Suitland High School’s Visual and Performing Arts Program, she further refined her craft through the Ailey School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, The Washington Ballet, and The Maryland Youth Ballet.
Erica’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the development of the whole individual physically, mentally, and spiritually. This mission led her to create G.I.R.L.S. (God’s Intelligent, Resilient, Loyal Sisters), a transformative contemporary curriculum for dancers ages 5–16. Through G.I.R.L.S., Erica fosters leadership, identity, and self-worth, empowering young women to walk boldly in their divine calling.
An accomplished choreographer and producer, Erica has directed a vast portfolio of impactful works, including HERitage, Young GiftedXBlack, and The BluePrint. Her creative reach extends to the national stage, having contributed to and performed in the prestigious production MANIFEST at the Kennedy Center’s REACH.
Merging her dance expertise with her work in the behavioral health field, Erica is currently developing Alignment, a dance movement therapy program. She firmly believes God has called her to connect healing with movement, helping individuals across all generations find internal alignment and restoration.
With over a decade of leadership in dance education and business development, Erica remains committed to her students’ holistic growth. Guided by the belief that they are "called for such a time as this," she continues to inspire her community to lead with light, excellence, and unwavering purpose.

Founded in 2016 by Erica Conway, TCA is an all-female conservatory where elite artistry and spiritual wholeness meet. For dancers ages 5-16, we offer a contemporary curriculum that prepares the "whole dancer" for the professional world through technical excellence and God-given purpose.
Since 2016, The Conway Academy has nurtured young dancers in Prince Georges County, blending ballet and contemporary dance with faith-inspired values. We cultivate artistic excellence and spiritual growth, empowering the next generation of dance leaders.
